Portugal Tech Week: A Growing Innovation Festival
The third edition of Portugal Tech Week, the innovation festival powered by the 351 Portuguese Startup Association, returns this year between November 8th and 18th, aiming to be the biggest edition yet.
After reaching 18,000 people with over 220 events in 10 Portuguese cities in the 2023 edition, Portugal Tech Week aims to grow even more this year and reach across the country with more initiatives, mostly free of charge.
Between November 8th and 18th, the organization will promote conferences, workshops, and exhibitions focused on technology, innovation, the future of work, and creativity.
Among the confirmed events is PTW House, which will take place in Lisbon and offer a week-long agenda filled with programming and technology workshops, talks by national and international speakers, and fireside chats with entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. All events will be free to attend.
There will also be a 5-10 km running event, PTW Tech Run, expected to attract around 1,000 participants. Additionally, PTW Tech Days, organized in partnership with municipal councils, will be held in cities like Guimarães, Fundão, Algarve, and Leiria.
“Portugal’s startup ecosystem is much more than what happens within a single event. We are everything that also happens across the country, from Faro to Bragança. Our main goal with Portugal Tech Week is to decentralize the ecosystem by empowering and involving local communities, bringing innovation to every corner of the country. The growth we have been experiencing since the first edition reinforces our ambition to become one of the largest innovation festivals in the world and to transform Portugal into a global innovation hub. This year, we are even preparing to welcome startups from other countries, expanding our offer and reach,” reveals João Baptista, Marketing and Communication Leader of Portugal Tech Week, in a statement.
Entrepreneurial communities across the country are invited to join Portugal Tech Week and submit their initiatives to be included in the official festival agenda. Interested parties can register on the event website.
